Ana Marcu

ACTRESS  SINGER  DANCER  MUSICIAN

Hi, I’m Ana Marcu! Born and raised in Southern Oregon, I developed a love for all things art and nature at a very young age. With the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in my backyard, I grew to love Shakespeare and theater, putting on my first production of Love's Labour's Lost at age 8 with my other overly-ambitious 8 year old playmates. Also at the age of 8 I began playing piano, though my love of music began long before that listening to old folk records and enjoying concerts at the beautiful outdoor Britt Festival in Jacksonville, OR. I spent my summers living on the lakes and rivers and my winters in the snowy mountains. And after all of that I've ended up here in New York City, the concrete jungle! Where the culture is rich and the art is groundbreaking, the people are fast and strong and the love is deep. And I am the luckiest person in the world, doing what I love, and having both city and country instilled deep in my soul.

The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science.
